Panopto is a software company that provides lecture recording, screencasting, video streaming and video content management software. Panopto is integrated with Emporia's LMS, Canvas. Panopto is Latin for "All Seeing" and is designed for traditional lecture capture but you can also use it in specialized applications. Panopto is not the same thing as Kaltura. Kaltura is a website that allows content owners to publish and manage their video productions through Kaltrua's video platform. Look for other blog posts on Kaltura.
Panopto is a great resource for students when they are need to review the in-class lecture or if students in your online class want to mirror the face-to-face learning experience.
